40 LEADENHALL STREET | GOTHAM CITY
In the last couple of months major contractor Mace has started at 40 Leadenhall Street after Keltbray has cleared the Leadenhall triangle site to allow the build of two stepped towers of 14 and 34 storeys. The build of the 900,000 sq ft project is nicknamed ‘Gotham City’.
Centrally located in the city of London the project is surrounded by many sensitive buildings such as bars, offices, banks and the St Katharine Cree Church. To be able to protect these buildings and its occupants environmental monitoring is a top priority. Managing the environmental impact due to the construction works during this 3-year project will be challenging and therefore Mace has put their trust once again in Campbell Associates.
A total of 13 Sonitus Noise (4), AVA vibration (7) and Aeroqual dust (2) monitors have been installed in 7 different measurement locations around the project, providing live and accurate data to the project management team. The plug & play accredited devices are live and logging data since mid-April 2020. Mace has chosen great additional features to help them control their environmental emissions, such as the audio capture option on the noise monitors to identify its source and WAVE forms on the vibration monitors to determine its dominant frequency.
Campbell Associates takes pride in their excellent customer service as we take part in these major jobs. Providing professional installation with accredited and reliable kit makes monitoring your projects seem like a walk in the park – and we’re always just a phone call away!
