| The Artificial Ear Type 43AA is a complete test jig for acoustical measurements on telephone handsets and earphones. It includes an IEC 318 Ear Simulator RA0039 ½" Pressure Microphone Type 40AG, ¼" Preamplifier Type 26AC, Test Jig RA0052 and mounting plates for circum-aural and supra-aural headphones | ||
| Type 43AB | Hearing Aids | |
| The Artificial Ear Type 43AB is a complete test-jig for acoustical measurements on hearing aids. The Type 43AB comprises: IEC 126 2-cm³ Coupler RA0038, ½" Pressure Microphone Type 40AG, ¼" Preamplifier Type 26AC, Test Jig RA0052 | ||
| Type 43AC | Earphones | |
| The Artificial Ear Type 43AC is a complete test-jig for acoustical measurements on earphones coupled to the ear by inserts such as tubes and ear moulds. The Type 43AC comprises: Coupler RA0045, ½" Pressure Microphone Type 40AG, ¼" Preamplifier Type 26AC, Test Jig RA0052 | ||
| Type 43AD | Acoustic Transmitters | |
| The Artificial Ear Type 43AD is a complete assembly for acoustical measurements on acoustical transmitters and loudspeakers. It can be integrated with a telephone test head or permanently installed on a production test line. The Type 43AD comprises: IEC 318 Ear Simulator RA0039, ½" Pressure Microphone Type 40AG, ¼" Preamplifier Type 26AK, Snap coupling GR0332 and GR0336, Mounting plates for circum-aural and supra-aural headphones. | ||
| Couplers | ||
| RA-0038 | Coupler | |
| The Coupler Type RA0038 is a standard 2 cm³ Coupler according to IEC 126 and ANSI S3.7-1973. It uses a ½" microphone (preferably the Type 40AG) with a suitable preamplifier (e.g. the Type 26AC which is a ¼" preamplifier but is supplied with an adapter for ½" microphones). The RA0038 is for use in the acoustical measurements of insert type hearing aids and earphones. To avoid possibly damaging the microphone, the RA0038 can be used with a microphone fitted with its protection grid. The RA0038 is also part of the G.R.A.S. Artificial Ear Type 43AB. | ||
| RA-0039 | Coupler | |
| The IEC 318 Ear Simulator Type RA0039 is an ear simulator with an input impedance closely resembling that of an average human ear. When the RA0039 is coupled to a sound source, the impedance will load the sound source similar to the loading caused by the human ear. The RA0039 meets the requirements of IEC 60318-1:1998 Electroacoustics - "Simulators of human head and ear - Part 1: Ear simulator for the calibration of supra-aural earphones". The RA0039 is also part of the G.R.A.S. Artificial Ears Type 43AA and Type 43AD. | ||
| RA-0045 | Coupler | |
| The IEC 711 Ear Simulator Type RA0045 is an ear simulator with an input impedance closely resembling that of an average human ear. The RA0045 includes a Type 40AG pressure microphone and each RA0045 is individually calibrated with this specific microphone. The RA0045 meets the requirements of IEC 60711:1981 Occluded-ear simulator for the measurement of earphones coupled to the ear by ear inserts. The RA0045 is also part of the G.R.A.S. Artificial Ear Type 43AC. It can also be used with either of the Pinna Simulators RA0056 or RA0057 to simulate a complete ear for testing telephones and loudspeakers. | ||
